I've developed a custom standalone application to promote Mercado Libre's "Clips" social commerce platform in the Big Brother TV reality show. The primary challenge was to replicate the UX/UI and core user flow of the live Clips platform within a closed, offline environment.
Designed specifically for a large-scale, interactive smartphone totem, the application allowed contestants to browse a curated catalog of fashion items and select their outfits for the show. This tech-driven activation was central to the campaign's success, which generated over 22 million views and seamlessly showcased the Mercado Libre shopping experience to a mass audience.

The Challenge
Mercado Libre needed to promote its "Clips" platform on Big Brother TV show, but the live application could not be used in the internet-restricted environment of the TV set. The task was to develop a high-fidelity, completely stable simulation that was visually identical to the real app and could run flawlessly on custom hardware during filming.
The Technical Solution
I've developed a robust standalone application from the ground up that emulated the core functionality of Mercado Libre Clips. Key development aspects included:
- High-Fidelity UX/UI Replication: Engineering the front-end to precisely mirror the official app's design, animations, and user interactions.
- Custom Backend & Data Management: Building a dedicated local backend for the marketing agency to manage the curated fashion catalog, allowing producers to easily update the items available to the contestants.
- Hardware Integration: Optimizing the application's performance and touch controls for a large-format, custom-built smartphone totem.
The Outcome
The flawless execution of the custom application provided and engaging in-show experience. It became the technological centerpiece of a viral marketing campaign that reached over 22 million views, effectively demonstrating the power of the Clips platform.
